  • Identify similar sequence
  • Use BLAST algorithms to identify similar nucleotide or amino acid sequences in a variety of custom DBOVI databases.
  • Align sequences
  • Use ClustalW or MUSCLE to align nucleotide or amino acid sequences.
  • Identify point mutations
  • Identify protein sequences that have a specific amino acid at a specific position.
  • Analyze sequence variation
  • Compute the extent of variation at each position of virus nucleotide or amino acid sequences uploaded to the DBOVI analysis tool or selected from the DBOVI database.
  • Phylogenetic anaysis
  • Generate phylogenetic tree with commonly used methods provided by the ClustalW2 program or MEGA to align nucleotide or amino acid sequences.
